TRAILER FIRE EXTINGUISHED QUICKLY
Fire Officials in Muncy responded to a fire at a residence in the Meadowbrook Trailer Park just after 6pm on Christmas day.  Muncy Township fire officials said that a fire started in the ceiling fan there and quickly spread to the roof of the home along Route 405, displacing the resident living there.  Firefighters had the blaze contained within 10 minutes, and the woman whose identity was not released, is staying with relatives until the utilities can be restored.

WOMAN BRANDISHES GUN DURING DOMESTIC INCIDENT
A woman from Milton was charged for disorderly conduct and harassment in Northumberland County Court after police say she waved a gun around during a domestic argument on December 12th.  According to police reports, 48 year old Kelly Packer got into an altercation with a 51 year old woman from Montoursville at the 8600 block of Route 405 in Turbot Township after 6pm and pulled a gun.  Milton State Police were called and they responded and arrested Packer.  She later plead guilty at her preliminary hearing December 18th .  Reckless endangerment and simple assault charges were with withdrawn in the case.

RECREATION DIRECTOR RETIRES
Lock Haven City Council honored a longtime recreation director for the City and the school district with a proclamation.  John “Jack” Baily is retiring after 59 year years with the city of Lock Haven and Clinton County.  According to the Lock Haven Express, City Manager Gregory Wilson  honored the former teacher for the by renaming the local playground , “Jack Bailey Playground at Hammermill Park.”

PENN STATE BLUE BAND PREPS FOR 2 SHOWS THIS WEEKEND
Members of Penn State’s Blue Band are getting ready for Saturday’s Cotton Bowl along with many Nittany Lion fans who were also arriving in Texas this week for the Cotton Bowl coming up Saturday.  The Blue Band is also performing another show while they are out of town.  According to WNEP, there will be a battle of the bands event with the University of Memphis band today at 3pm, between the Texas Rangers’ new Globe Life Field and AT&T Stadium

MAN ARRESTED FOR HOLDING WOMAN HOSTAGE
Police say they have captured a man who held a woman inside her car against her will after a shopping trip allegedly went bad.  According to an arrest warrant, Joshua Kirchman of Catawissas will be charged with assault,  false imprisonment, terroristic threats and other crimes after keeping his ex-girlfriend hostage inside a car Monday night threatening and strangling her then stealing the car and fleeing the scene.  An arrest warrant was obtained earlier this week for Kirchman.

DRUG DEALER CHARGED WITH MULTIPLE FELONIES
A man from Muncy has been charged with multiple felonies after he allegedly sold suspected heroin and other drugs to confidential informants.  Police served a warrant to 33 year old Leonard N. Dubose of North Main St Muncy.  All three drug deals were arranged via Facebook Messenger, according to detectives form the district attorney’s office Narcotics Enforcement Unit Dubose was arrested on December 20, 2019, and charged with six ungraded felony counts of delivery or possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, three third degree felony counts of criminal use of a communication facility, and other misdemeanors. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing before Judge Kemp on January 3

PGC CREATES TOOL TO INCREASE RUFFED GROUSE POPULATION
Pennsylvania’s state bird, the ruffed grouse, has suffered population losses due to the statewide scarcity of young forests and large-scale West Nile virus die-offs. To offset those losses, the Pennsylvania Game Commission has created a tool to identify prime grouse recovery areas. For best success, habitat must be created in areas buffered from disease-carrying mosquitoes and close to existing grouse populations so birds can quickly colonize new sites.  If you’d like information on whther your property is one of there prefereed areas, check the game commission’s website, pgc.pa.gov.

PA MEDICAID RECIPIENTS MIGHT SEE CHANGE IN MEDS
You may be forced to changed medications if you are a Medicaid recipient in Pennsylvania.  Almost 150 thousand in the state could be affected by new regulations the state says will cut down on health care costs.  According to PennLive, beginning Jan. 1, eight companies that manage pharmacy benefits under Medicaid will use the same preferred prescription drug list and some drugs currently provided will no longer be available without a special exception.  Patients affected by the change were notified by mail and given a list of meds to change.  Patients can request a 15-day emergency supply of their old medication from their doctor while they plan for moving forward.Sports
