DATA CENTER ZONING PERMIT PROPOSED DESPITE OFFICIALS SAYING OPPOSITE
Questions are being raised in Muncy Township after records obtained by the Sun-Gazette revealed a proposed data center complex was included in a zoning permit application dated April 15th. The plan calls for three large data center buildings near John Brady Drive and the Susquehanna River. The disclosure comes after township officials stated in late April that no data center application had been submitted. The township later approved a moratorium on data centers while zoning regulations are developed.

Amos is charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, simple assault and disorderly conduct. He is being held in the Lycoming County Prison on 25-thousand dollars bail.
ICE DECISION TABLED IN SUNBURY
Sunbury City Council has delayed a decision on whether the police department should join ICE’s 287(g) program. After more than 80 minutes of public comment, council voted to table the issue so more information can be gathered. According to the Daily Item, supporters say the program could bring funding for vehicles, equipment and officer costs, while opponents voiced concerns about its impact on immigrant communities. Police Chief Brad Slack says the department would not actively seek out undocumented residents and would continue enforcing the law as it does now.
