Drone surveys confirmed the slick extended downstream to the Greevy boat launch, but no service disruptions have been reported. Cleanup is underway, and officials say environmental assessments are continuing.

MUNCY WOMAN DISSATISFIED WITH ABUSER’S PLEA DEAL
A Muncy woman is speaking out after her abuser avoided hundreds of felony sex charges through a plea deal. According to NorthcentralPA.com, 78-year-old Danny Ray Brewer was originally charged with 802 felonies but pleaded no contest to a single misdemeanor count of reckless endangerment. Brewer was sentenced to two years’ probation with no chance of early release. The victim, 23-year-old Abby Warnecke, chose to be publicly named after delivering two impact statements in court. The Lycoming County Assistant District Attorney said the difficult plea deal came about after there was an inconsistent timeline of incidents, a long time in between the incidents and the reporting of the crime and other factors. Warnecke said she would have preferred a jury trial for Brewer.
